Vespera and JSS Energy: together to help Italy transition to green energy

In 2022 the Italian Simplified Authorisation Procedure (PAS) was renewed to make applications simpler and faster for medium and high voltage connections, aimed at constructions of plants powered by RES (Renewable Energy sources). It aims to encourage the development of renewable energy sources, in particular solar ones, reducing waiting times and costs to obtain the necessary authorizations for the construction of the plants which has previously been a lengthy process. Vespera Energy is using the updated PAS legislation to its advantage in a strategic partnership with JSS Energy Italia. The Simplified Authorisation Procedure (PAS) requires fewer steps than the ordinary procedure Single Authorisation (AU) and therefore involves shorter waiting time as the AU procedure must go through more steps and longer wait times.

The partnership between Vespera and JSS Energy Italy

Vespera Energy signed a partnership with JSS Energy Italy in for the development of photovoltaic plants and BESS Storage with a total capacity of 600 MW. Both companies are determined to help Italy transition to more sustainable and greener resources and become less reliant on fossil fuels.

The value of this cooperation for Vespera Energy

Vespera Energy was founded in 2021 by Conor McGuigan and Aldo Giretti, together they have over 30 years of experience within the solar industry and over 8 GW developed worldwide. Vespera Energy has its base in Italy and spread out throughout the country with offices in Grottaglie (Taranto), Milan and Rome with developments all over Italy and Europe. Their aim is to develop 2 GW of solar assets and 1 GW of BESS in Italy within 5 years, with a strong focus on agricultural photovoltaic developments, battery storage solutions as well as innovative solar solutions.

JSS Energy Italy Srl is headquartered in Rome and specializes in solar photovoltaic (PV) utility-scale projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS). JSS Energy focuses on the development, consultancy on the installation and operation of renewable energy solutions, particularly in the field of solar power generation and energy storage. JSS Energy Italy was founded in 2022 by three partners, former executives of large international companies.
