to develop 2 GWs across Italy. With two offices in Puglia and Milan, we’re looking to expand our team of Senior business development
managers to help make the world’s transition to a more sustainable future. Vespera sees Italy as one of the most promising markets for
renewable projects and are excited to grow its pipeline of photovoltaic projects within the sector.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about solar energy, sustainability, technology, innovation, and renewables as a whole, to help make the ‘switch’ for a more sustainable future and longer lasting planet.
The Role
- Securing land, as well as to identify, evaluate and propose acquisition and partnership opportunities
- Building and maintaining an existing portfolio of business contacts
- Managing a team of land prospector and project developers in your region
- Managing the development in an allocated territory, a portfolio of projects of large scale, ground mounted power Solar farms: from the identification of the sites to obtaining building permits purged of all recourse
- Responsible for monitoring and steering responses to calls of expressions of interest (EOI) made by communities or private individuals in the dedicated region.
- Identify and analyse opportunities for the acquisition of photovoltaic projects and risk assessments
- Identify and manage technical and legal consultants and work closely with internal support functions (planning, PPA, BE, purchasing, networks, production, etc.).
- Review and finalise project contracts such as NDA, Co-development agreements, exclusivities, lease, SPA, EPC and O&M.
- Support development across the business when needed
Experience
- Experience of similar position delivering large scale solar projects in Italy
- Extensive knowledge of the market in Italy
- Driving strategic development on behalf of a fast-growing market leading organization
- Strong understanding of the greenfield development process
Education
- Master’s degree, MBA or other relevant field, strongly preferred, preferably with some financial qualifications or training
