The Role
Our finance team is looking for a highly motivated financial analyst who has interest in joining a high performing team to drive Vespera Energy forward on its journey to a clean energy future. The individual will be responsible for supporting project finance and conducting financial analyses of all projects.
- Develop financial models and providing financial forecasts
- Be responsible for the project finance model and ad hoc amendments
- Prepare monthly financial reports that monitor cash flow, identify trends in spending
- Analyse project costs and preparing estimates for new projects
- Work with management to develop budgets and forecast future revenue and expenses
- Report to and work closely with the CFO
- Work closely with the Development team
- Assess and report on project returns and profitability
- Maintain transaction data books for projects
- Verify project inputs in financial models with the Development team and analysis of market conditions
- Help prepare presentations at key milestones in project lifecycle
- Provide analytical support to various groups internally
- Closely follow industry trends and competitors
- Other ad-hoc tasks as they arise
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and proven ability to navigate and manipulate Excel based financial models
- Experience with statistical analysis and financial forecasting
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of renewable energy or energy project finance (a plus)
- Knowledge of Excel (required) and VBA coding (a plus)
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Fluent in English, proficient in Italian
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in finance or a quantitative field
- Proven experience in similar role
- Understanding of principles of finance
